Ian Brookman is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience of providing consultancy, accounting and tax advice to clients.

He has acted as the trusted financial adviser to businesses from their initial planning, through start up to multi million pound turnovers. In addition to his accountancy and tax advice he has helped businesses identify and address issues in a role that is akin to a non-executive director.

Ian is one of the few holders in East Anglia of the ICAEW Diploma in Charity Accounting.  The ICAEW says "The Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) inspires confidence and demonstrates that you have the skills and knowledge to make a real difference to organisations in the charity and voluntary sector."

Throughout his career he has also been involved in rural businesses including farms, starting from when he worked for Sentry Farming as an in-house accountant soon after qualifying as a chartered accountant.

In addition to his financial skills and experience, he has also held general management roles in a regional business assisting with the profitable development of services, geographic reach, people development and the use of new IT solutions.  This direct business experience, in addition to his advisory work gives him a broad exposure to strategic and operational planning, commercial negotiations, sales delivery and staff management.

To reflect the areas of the practice Ian is a member of the following ICAEW Faculties and Special Interest Groups to ensure he stays up to date with the latest developments:-

  • Tax Faculty
  • Financial Reporting Faculty
  • Farming & Rural Business Group
  • Solicitors Group
